EDC brought in a reported 135,000 people both days combined! Making EDC one of the largest events of its kind.

“It was a great experience for us, and we saw the benefits on many fronts,” Rotella said of the addition of a second day, during a telephone conversation. “But from a production point of view the two-day EDC works much better. It was always a shame for me that in the past we’d get really involved in a show — picking the art installations, setting up the stage production and sound — and then when the crowd arrived, it was a 12-hour rush for everyone to experience it all and get their groove on. With a two-day festival, people have time to take it all in.”

“This year there’s a lot more ground,” said Rotella. “We’ve had the same basic layout for the past three years, but this time there’s a bigger footprint. We’ll have two main stages — an A Stage and a B stage — and are using a lot of area that we haven’t used before. Last year was a little too crowded on Saturday — Friday was perfect. I don’t like it when people are bumping elbows the whole time. With this new footprint, people will be able to breathe.”

Ryan Raddon aka “Kaskade” released his 9th Album yesterday. Some have been saying his single Dynasty doesn’t sound like the old Kaskade and that hes changing it up a bit. I guess thats for you too decide, I think its a good album! Take a listen to his song Dynasty below ft Haley.

Deadmau5 appeared at Coachella this last weekend and rocked it! He came out where his new Deadmau5 head which actually lit up. For those of you who went to Coachella you know just how crazy it was, and for those who didn’t, heres a video to show you what you missed!
Deadmau5 also has been confirmed to be performing at EDC on Friday! Its a shame we wont be able to see Armin Van Burren and Deadmau5 in the same night but I guess you’ll just have to buy the 2 day tickets that are only at $105 right now which really isn’t too bad.

So as some of you may have already heard, EDC “Electric Daisy Carnival” 2010 now closes at 2am both Friday and Saturday. I still haven’t confirmed exactly the reason for this but from what i’ve heard Los Angeles is passing a new law this year which causes all events in the LA area to close at 2am. Also on top of that EDC now as an age limit, 16 and up to enter. I’ll add an update about this post when I find out more info! I also will be posting the full EDC line up as soon as its released!
